A rather full April...

Hello Everyone!

April has been crazy! I have only 14 days at home this month and the rest of the time I have been off travelling Europe playing some pretty fun concerts and interesting projects. I am currently in Bremen where we are rehearsing Debussy's Pelléas and Mélisande with the Kammerphilharmonie for two concertante performances on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Previous to this project we have also recorded the Deutsches Requiem by Brahms for DVD to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the piece. We made the recording in the Bremen Cathedral where the work was originally performed to an extremely full house. In fact we had to start 20 minutes late as there were so many people waiting to get in the door! This month I also performed my first concert in France where the orchestra recorded the 4 Brahms cycles live in the Theater Champs Elysee, This was really a special concert for me as I always wanted to perform in Paris. When the DVD's are released I will post some information on them here.

The Follow Me's have had a busy month too with concerts in Dresden, Düsseldorf and Arnsberg. There has been some fantastic audiences and a ton of new music to learn there so that has been great fun! The above gallery are the highlights of April thus far! I hope you enjoy them!

Cheers for now!
